Oh lord, jali. Is it wrong to say that I would rather be coated with honey then rolled in broken glass and skewered on a big spike and roasted slowly at gas mark 4 for two and a half hours than to watch any of those films?

Ok, except maybe When Harry met Sally. I had lunch in that orgasm diner when I was over your side.

    Terms of Endearment
    Romancing the Stone
    Beaches
    When Harry Met Sally
    The Joy Luck Club
    Bridget Jones Diary
Clueless (this was a tough one — I love them both!)
    Pretty Woman
    The Color Purple
    Legally Blond

I didn’t see chick flick at first…I was gonna say “damn I haven’t seen alot of those.
    For those I have though:
    Romancing the Stone
    When Harry Met Sally
    Clueless
The Color Purple (though I refuse to see the play cause I’m tired of a lack of decent male characters.)

Do the porn versions count, Jalil?

  5. mist1

Damn, Jali. This just isn’t my preferred genre. When Harry Met Sally is about all I can stomach.

  6. EsLocura

I suck (and not in a good way) at this game. I didn’t see some of those and those I did I just put all in one pile.

  7. Webmiztris

I’m proud to say I’ve only seen 9 of these movies. I’m not proud to say I’d watched even those 9….LOL

  8. Candace

An Officer and A Gentleman (I don’t thinkI’ve seen Terms of Endearment. The suicide in this one made me feel sick, though.)

    Romancing The Stone

    Steel Magnolias

    When Harry Met Sally

The Joy Luck Club (I really don’t see what the fuss was about in Bridges)

    Bridget Jones Diary

Clueless (haven’t seen Bring it On)

    My Best Friend’s Wedding

Fried Green Tomatoes (haven’t seen The Color Purple, though it’s on my list)

    Miss Congeniality

But I think my all time fave Chick flick is the BBC Pride and Prejudice. And of course there are Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Love Actually. 🙂

OK, I have a bone to pick. Neither
“Clueless” nor “Bring It On” should be counted as chick flicks, in my humble opinion. They both star female leads and primarily female casts, but…

Nevermind. I just short-circuited my own argument. The fact that I like them shouldn’t make me make THEM something they aren’t. Lord help me, I like chick flicks.

  10. Lex

    An Officer and a Gentleman

    Splash

There’s no choosing between Steel Magnolia’s and Beaches

    When Harry met Sally

    The Joy Luck Club

    Big Fat Greek Wedding

    My Best Friend’s Wedding

Impossible to choose between The Color Purple and Fried Green Tomatoes

    Miss Congeniality

  11. Thailand Gal

Haven’t seen most of them and rarely remember movies. Loved “The Color Purple” though.

I still can’t imagine it as a musical.

    Huh?

    🙂

    Peace,

    ~Chani

Okay.. I’ll take a run at this one and see how I do.. here goes:

An Officer & a Gentleman. Gossett rocked as did Gere. Loved the last 5 minutes of the film.

Romancing the Stone. But not by much. I liked seeing Michael Douglas not humping some poor woman that’s not supposed to be his. Good comedy.

BEACHES by a mile! Whoa, what a tear jerker that is.

Working Girl was a cute little movie. Actually one of the few that I liked with Melanie Griffith. And come on. It’s got Harrison Ford in it okay???

I liked Bridges but only because I’m such a fan of Clint Eastwood’s work.

Clueless and Bring it ON are so for the younger crowd though and did nothing for me.

The Color Purple. Come on now! I’ll kill you dead!

Miss Congeniality and only because I really liked Sandra Bullock in this one.

I like your site very much. Thanks for your interest. Have a good day

Hands down winner, Debbie does Dallas.

Plot and fast paced action come together in a perfect video tour de force.

No finer film has ever been made…

  15. C

Steel Magnolias vs. Beaches. I don’t know which makes me cry more.

  16. katrice

I’m not a chick flick sort of chick, so I haven’t seen most of these movies, but I’ll do my best.

    Steel Magnolias

    The Joy Luck Club

    Clueless

The Color Purple vs. Fried Green Tomatoes ??????? I love BOTH these movies!! But I have to go with Fried Green Tomatoes.

  17. miss tracey nolan

When Harry Met Sally over all of them!

  18. Trying2BMe

    Terms of Endearment
    Splash
    Steel Magnolias
    When Harry Met Sally
    The Bridges of Madison County
    My Big Fat Greek Wedding
    Clueless
    Pretty Woman
    The Color Purple
    Legally Blond
