I obviously do not deserve my citizenship, as I cannot answer most of these off the top of my head. I shall work on them over the next couple of days, however.

  2. u know i got a 690 SAT LOL u should read the response i left to Don’s post at minus the bars LOL

  3. thats the test? damn! thats a lot of questions

  4. I think about the test whenever people rant about immigration.

    Why are there asterisks?

  5. c

If I can answer all those then I should graduate from with MBA sooner. I don’t remember my parents answering all those when they were naturalized but I was automatically naturalized after being in the US almost all my life at the age of 17 and did not answer any of those and don’t remember learning half of that in high school. I do remember the “I’m just a bill!” Grammar Rock videos though!

  6. c

If only I could type – from with MBA – I meant graduate from college with my MBA – English is the first thing to go when you are burned out from school and so much damned reading!

  7. Lex

Well, damn! I was all ready to take the test until I saw that there were 100 questions!

I’d be allowed to stay though.

  8. I’m Canadian. We have to answer questions about Moose, Beavers, Hockey Players and Tim Horton’s Coffee.

  9. They should have asked these questions last night in the Democratic debate. See who knows what among the candidates.

You have to take an exam on the Constitution to become a teacher in California and most of the questions are similar to these. Such a nightmare to pass.

  10. Oh, and the supreme law of the land? Make as much money as you can as fast as you can.

  11. Only you luv… I wouldn’t have become a citizen if I had to face THAT!!!

  12. LBB

This would be such a great object of satire. Thanks for posting it, Jali!

  13. Wow. I can’t believe my parents passed this test! I’m so glad I was but a mere babe and got the citizenship by default. (my parents. brilliant people i tell ya.)

  14. I am so printing this out and giving it to all my students as a test in the morning!!!

    LOL ;o)
    ~evil laugh~
I am so getting them back for being sh*t heads last week!

  15. Wow. I’m sure I could pass it. But thankfully I don’t have to take it.

    Whew, gave me SAT flashbacks.

  16. I didn’t even try to answer all of them.

I figure if the president doesn’t have to know this stuff, neither do I…

  17. #1 C.R.E.A.M.

#2 blank is cash, answer – rules everything around me.

  18. CP

    Um. Er. Ah. Ahem.

    Yeah.

Call me when you are onto your next post, alright? Gimme something I can answer.

    CP.

  19. I have to do that sometime in the next 420 days. That’s how long they’re estimating it takes to get to get the chance to take the test. I applied. I wait. That’s all. It would be fine, only I’d really like to be able to vote in November.

I don’t hold out much hope though. The INS are creakier than FEMA as an organisation. It took them 2 years after I’d been approved for them to send me my green card. In the meantime, any time I needed t travel outside the country, I had to go to LA and stand in line for a day to get the requisite piece of paper saying I could. Apparantly, they only have one green-card making machine in the whole country and it was broken.

Anyway, at the moment I’m shooting for the 2012 election.

  20. Send my black azz back to Africa, cause I can’t remember all of that stuff.
